Your Bio

Resides in the lovely Bay Area.

Enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Anna. Both family and friends are a big factor in my life and is what defines who I am and what my future holds.

I often find myself admiring nature, all of man's technological advances, and the simple pleasures of the presence of family and friends. That is probably the main reason I have gotten into photography and want to capture all those moments and memories. Anyone can take a picture, but the pictures I take try to also capture the feelings from that moment in time that can never be re-lived the same way again.

I hope you enjoy the journey and experiences I've witnessed through my photos.

ENJOY ... your comments are always most appreciated to help me know what I can do better or have done well. THANKS!

Day 6 and 7 - Venice Italy : Switzerland was awesome, but heading to our next destination was Italy. First stop .... Venice (Venezia) .... what an awesome place. But, my pre-conceptions of Venice before seeing it in person was somewhat shattered as I found out that most of the buildings closest to the ports are empty as a result of tourists. However, to my relief, there were still locals to be found if you were brave enough, or had enough energy to venture out further into the city heading towards the middle. Unfortunately, we didn't get this chance, but going on a gondola ride through various water filled alleys still caught my breath. We spent 2 days here while ending our visit on the nearby island of Burano where we had an awesome italian lunch. This island is said to be what the old Venice looked like. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as both Anna and I enjoyed this beautiful place.

Day 3 and 4 - Paris France : Right after London, next stop is Paris, France. We boarded our bus (that we would get comfy in for the next 6 days) early morning at 5:30am to make our trip to a Ferry that would leave the U.K. and sail towards France. The ride was about an hour and our driver got us to our final destination in about 6 hours. The hotel was beautiful with the latest "modernized" Arc de Trioumph right by our hotel in La Defense. On our visit, we saw a lot of the Eiffel tower at night and the following day in the morning. Unfortunately, this was not really the Paris that Anna and myself had imagined ... although it still has its character, it has become very populated with tourists and the old Paris is no longer old.

On a funnier note, Anna had taken French as her second language course in High School and hasn't had the opportunity to use it .... what a perfect time to utilize it. Unfortunately, on our first stop in Paris to get some lunch, Anna made an attempt to speak to the lady in French, but failed pretty bad -- needless to say, we were able to order our food in english.

Day 4 and 5 - Lucerne Switzerland : From France, we drove to Lucerne, Switzerland. The drive was somewhat short at about 4 hours -- we woke up early once again, ate our usual continental breakfast, boarded our good 'ol bus, and started our drive. Lucerne was a beautiful small town with some of the freshest air I've ever breathed in. The highlight of this visit to Switzerland was the visit up one of the Swiss Alps where we would literally be "above the clouds". We only had a day and a half to get to know Lucerne, but was all we really needed now that I look back.

Day 8 - Florence Italy : Goodbye Venice ... next stop Florence (Firenze) Italy. The first taste of Italy's long history of art and architecture was just great. We walked the streets of the Florence and visited the church where Michealangelo and Galileo are laid to rest. I really felt somewhat emotional to be in the presence of one of the greatest artist and architects to have lived.
